This is for users looking for a description of tamper-evident seals.
When you download a Sealed Document from our platform and open it in Adobe Acrobat, it will have a tamper-evident seal displayed at the top of the PDF viewer. As long as the tamper-evident seal is present, you’ll have assurance that no one has altered the original document and that the document has not been forged.
Should an alteration to the document take place, the tamper-evident seal will break, indicating that the document has been modified.
When you export a closing book with Additional Document Security Features enabled, you’ll be able to choose between exporting a closing book that contains a tamper-evident seal or does not. See What is the difference between each type of closing book? to learn more about the different types of closing books.
