This is for users who are looking for a description of Certificates of Record.
A Certificate of Record is a feature of Sealed Documents. It displays metadata relevant to each Sealed Document along with an audit log of activity that occurred to that specific document.
dealcloser will append a Certificate of Record to Sealed Documents automatically. dealcloser only generates and attaches a Certificate of Record to a Sealed Document once all clients have signed the document. If an unsigned or partially signed Sealed Document is downloaded from dealcloser, it will not contain a Certificate of Record.
When you export a closing book with Additional Document Security Features enabled, you’ll be able to choose between exporting a closing book that contains a tamper-evident seal or does not. See What is the difference between each type of closing book? to learn more about the different types of closing books.
